Well, my camera's out of commission, but I suppose that doesn't mean I have to be out of commission! :) It needs a little fixing, but I should have it back in a few weeks. Anyhow, things have been going so great here...it's almost boring to blog about! We've just been playing!!! Going here and there, parks and friends, and enjoying the cool-ish weather of August in Minnesota! It's been great! No one's been sick. Everyone is ready for a party every day...and that's just about what we're doing. The summer countdown is on and we're living up each day till we're all exhausted at the end!
I can't convince Claire (for the life of me) to take a bath!! Isn't that hilarious?!? She's gotten so used to taking showers...and we've convinced her they're faster than baths...and most times she's all about being fast. Plus the pull-away shower handle in the basement is pretty fun for LOTs of wetness....so that's what she still continues to choose. Funny. At least we don't have to saran wrap her torso in the shower anymore. She's happy just to hope right in!
We haven't worked swimming into our agenda yet. It's a little much for me to take them on my own, without Jared or friends...so we just need to get it on the calendar and do it! It's in the works so we'll all enjoy some water fun soon.
I took Mabel in for a weight check on Monday because I seriously don't know how she survives on the amount of food she eats. She is a tricky one. But she still has grown within her range of percentages...so I guess I'll try to stop stressing about her picky, not-wanting-to-eat-more-than-two-bites-at-a-time EATING habits!!! She's only in the 6% in her weight...but as long as she keeps growing at some rate, I suppose she's fine. For me, it was at least comforting to know that she is growing, slow as it may be...and we'll just keep on keepin' on--with maybe a little extra ice cream for good measure!
I'm working on our family photo books in my spare time. I'm almost done with 2009...just have 2 1/2 more years to go! I'll be thrilled if they're done by Christmas. That's my goal. Jared works on work and whatever else I suggest should be on his agenda :) And this kids are just loving being kids! Puzzles have been a hot activity around here lately. Benson is the puzzle king and it gets the girls excited about them too! Claire has blood work scheduled for Thursday. It will be interesting to see how her liver labs look after 11 days of having the tube out.
(pict from my phone) I just love 'em!

I say it looks like a pretty sharp family.
We have to learn to take the good and easy days of summer, because we know that old man winter is just around the corner.
