It's just been busy!
Here's a little of what we've been up to.
Claire has had 3 choir performances. She sing in a little choir called "young american voices." Its so fabulous for her! And she hasn't had any stage fright in any of her performances. They perform at retirement communities and these little grandma's and grandpa's just eat it right up...clapping their hands and singing right along with the young ones! It's so darling. And I must admit that every time they sing their last song "God bless the USA" I get tears in my eyes. The kids trying to hit the high note, the words and emotion of the song, and my little princess smiling away just about melts my heart!! I love it and she loves it too. It's fun for her to have something just for her to be involved with.
We celebrated Mabel's SECOND birthday today! Unbelievable. Two years ago this morning this littlest princess entered our family and our lives have been brighter ever since! This little girl was meant to come to our family. She has brought such joy, laughter, and delightful cheer to our family. I have cherished every second of being her mom. her hugs, her songs, her smile, her joy. We love our Mabel Sue and had a fabulous day celebrating today.
It was a "mouse" celebration. She loves Miney Mouse, but simply calls her Mouse. She was excited to wake up to see Mouse hanging from the wall and a new Mouse outfit sitting at her highchair.
We went to Claire's ballet class and then headed on over to the Children's Museum for a little munchkin fun. Mabel and Claire both loved painting their faces, doing their pretend makeup, and a little more painting.
We had a fun birthday party after dinner and Mabel felt pretty special with some great gifts. I think I was more excited to give my present than ever before! I made 3 sensory bins with fun things for Mabel (and all the kids) to play with. Mabel loves that kind of stuff. If we ever can't find Mabel around the house, the first place we look is in the laundry room, where she's usually kneeling by the powdered laundry soap, scooping handfuls of it onto the floor. The kids loved it...and at least it bought us a little time to clean up a bit while they were busy making a popcorn mess elsewhere!!
Happy November Fifteenth MABEL!!
