Someone had a V/B day on Thursday and from the looks of the fire on the cake, it wasn't one of the kids!! My day started off with a table full of balloons surrounding a bouquet of roses. We quickly devoured our homemade waffles and ran out the door to Claire's ballet class. Valentines is such a great time to celebrate a birthday because everyone is always having a party; which is exactly what we did after Claire's ballet class! It was {mainly} for the ballet girls, but as far as I'm concerned, it's was just as much for me!
The girls strung red noodles, hearts, red-vines, fruit loops, and cheerios onto a pink necklace string. Beautiful and delicious!
Mabel hung out by the cookie table nearly the entire time. So many options. So much sugar. And the pink frosting just couldn't be beat! And it was all right within her reach. Yum. She was happy as a sprinkle on a heart!
We enjoyed some fresh bread & Chipotle for dinner and then opened a few red-wrapped gifts. We smelled a yummy candle, lathered on some smooth trader joe's lotion, and took some pictures with my new camera!
I like getting a family snap shot on my birthdays.
This is what makes me happy.

Poor Benson wasn't feeling well. He came home from school with a fever and stayed home on Friday. He's been feeling much better today...hopefully it will truly be short-lived.

I can't think of a more special person to have a birthday on V-day! You are just beaming with kindness and love. I told my kids I had a friend from High School who has a b-day on Valentine's Day. They thought it was sooo awesome.
