Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.

Sunday fun

The first monthly Skinner Talent show:

Act 1
The energetic Claire dancing around like the wild woman she is!!!

Act 2
The talented Jared playing a family favorite "Praise to the Man" WHILE holding a baby. Talent folks, pure talent.

Act 3
The bunny-rabbit's close relative, Benson, hoping over a succession of pillows. And he didn't just do it once. Oh no. He's got the hops.

Act 4:
The amazzzzzzzzzzzzzing Mabel. Such ease. Such poise. Such confidence.

Act 5:
A recitation of my famous Chapstick poem. I would post it, but it's not copyrighted...the content of which is too precious for the public eye. Private recitations are available upon request. Back-up camera boy forgot to snap a shot so you get this instead!

Until next month...
