It's been a rough 4 days. Claire hasn't been feeling that great. Not that bad. But not that great by any means. I think she's maybe had some kind of tummy bug. She complained constantly of a hurt tummy and side, where her tube comes out. She was nauseated most the weekend and couldn't keep anything down. Since Monday, she's been doing better in that respect. But then she was constipated....after being a bit dehydrated from the weekend...and very VERY uncomfortable with that. So now we got her bowls up and going again...and she's a bit loose if ya know what I mean! Nothing like going from one extreme to the next!! We finally did take her into the ED Sunday afternoon, after not seeing much improvement and wanting to make sure we weren't missing anything. All the cultures and blood work from there looked okay, so it must have just been something viral.
Today she had another bile duct stretch. It was kind of a rougher hospital day for her because she still wasn't feelng like her regular-happy self yet. Everything went well for the procedure (Although there was a code45 in the Joseph blg. right during the time she was in for her procedure in a room right near hers. It made my heart sink when I heard that over the intercom. Thankfully, it wasn't her who had 'flat-lined.' Scary.) She had a rough wake up from the anesthesia, with the shakes/chills...which has never happened before. They kept her a bit longer to make sure everything was okay and then sent us home. She rested the rest of the day at home.
She's not "claire" yet....but will hopefully sleep like a champion tonight and feel like a million bucks in the morning. Oh, I hope so. I'm ready for a happy princess Claire again. I'm sure she is too.
