* The kids folded my pile of laundry for me when I was gone visiting a friend who was sick! I love it when they get in those kinds of moods. :)
* March is turning out to be quite the wintry month here in Minnesota. The snow just won't stop! Temperature outside right now feels like 5 degrees F with the wind chill. Burr. I really hope spring will come this year. Maybe in April....please!!! Although the kids and Jared did enjoy more sledding down our backyard hill this afternoon. At least they're enjoying what they've got! I'm not so much enjoying it anymore...but the snow clouds didn't ask me.
* I had 50 minutes to myself this afternoon. Benson and Claire were at an afternoon art class and Mabel was still napping. I think I got more done in those 50 minutes than I did all week last week!! Whew! That felt good! Now if I could just somehow get my hands on a few of those 50 minute chunks more often.
* I think the drying mat for clean dishes is the most used piece of furniture (for lack of a better word) in this house. Honestly. How is it that there's just a constant supply of dirty dishes in the sink!?!? Can't imagine what life would be without a dishwasher!! We're so spoiled with stuff like dishwashers, lightbulbs, washing machines & such....but yet it's still just so naturally easy to complain!!
* The kids had a fun St. Patrick's day. The sneaky leprechaun left a nine-clue scavenger hunt for them to find their pot of gold!! Claire was very curious about the whole leprechaun thing and couldn't get over all the places he had been to hide the next clue!! We enjoyed a green-tastic dinner with some friends and made multi-coloured cupcakes with green sprinkles for dessert!
* Today in Claire's prayers she said: "We thankful we could be born and live. Please bless all the people in Minnesota to get healthy. And please bless the whole world to be healthy too." So if you're sick and you're living in this world, Claire's got a prayer out there for you to get better soon!!
"Benson are you coming home yet?"

What a beautiful silhouette picture of the girls standing in the window with the winter wonderland in the back yard.
We don't appreciate Spring as much without the winter.
I lived in Finland for 2 1/2 years and learned to appreciate with long cold winters. Now I prefer the short mild winters.
