We've been busy!! Busy packing and cleaning...with a smidgen of fun (and even a nap or two)! Thursday night Dad, Aleena, Benson, Claire and I had so much fun seeing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat! (Mabel stayed home with a baby sitter...making the play that much more enjoyable for me!) We had fantastic seats; third row from the front...but the first two rows they kept vacant because the orchestra was just in front of that. But being close enough to see the orchestra made it twice as fun for me! I love watching conductors; like really REALLY love watching the conductors! It's super entertaining to me to see them direct every note that is played, cue the singers, keep the beat with their leading stick, head, and toes....and get-into the music like only they can!! And this guy was good. You could tell he loved what he did and love the music--I even saw him sneak a few words in as he silently belted out his favorite parts. Then there was the guy on the key board. Oh how I wish I could have taken a picture of his eyes--they looked like a deer's in the headlights they were so wide and focused the entire show. And he didn't miss a beat. He seriously probably got just as much of a workout as the actors did on stage. And speaking of the actors...they were fantastic!! I couldn't stop smiling. And Claire couldn't stop singing!! She knew many of the words in the play including all 29 colors in Joseph's Coat. I couldn't tell if the lady sitting next to Claire kept looking at her in disgust or amazement...but I let her keep singing either way! :) It was certainly a fantastic way for us to end our week here in Rochester! A memory to keep and cherish.
I don't know where this month has gone, but the end is nigh. I've loved spending some final moments with friends I love and will miss (as have my kids with their good friends); but it's nice to know it's not goodbye forever. We'll be back to Rochester yearly for checkups so we'll have lots of smiling faces to see upon our return. Monday's the day we'll begin our road trip across the country--looking forward to new adventures to come in Colorado!!
