This has to be short cuz I'm staying with the princess tonight in the hospital and trying to get her to bed. Right now she's saying, "Everybody play babies. Raise your hand to play babies."
So she's obviously feeling better. She did get a fever this afternoon, but it has come down with Tylenol. Still on the antibiotics and will have the liver biopsy in the morning at 9:30 am. Liver and kidney ultrasounds look good. Still don't know why she was holding back her urine, but she's done fine throughout the day. Hoping for another good night and an even better day tomorrow!
Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.
