A few funnies:
1)The other day, Benson and Claire took 6 empty pedialyte bottles outside from the recycle container. Questioning, I went out to see what they had going on. Benson was filling up the liter bottles from the outside faucet, handing them to Claire, and she neatly placed them into their play dump truck. I asked them what they were doing....why all the water?
Benson's reply: "It's our outside water storage. We need storage in case Dad comes out and tells us we can't use the outside water tap anymore. Then we'll at least have a supply we can play with."
He's a thinker. He's a planner. And it's his Dad who has taught him to "be prepared" so Jared had to laugh!!
2)Claire was standing by me as I sat at the kitchen table. Benson quietly snuck under the table and then quickly grabbed her leg and yelled to scare her.
Claire's immediate reaction: "AHHHHHH Don't make me go to heaven YET!!"
3)Benson and Claire made a beautiful dandelion bouquet this afternoon. They gathered as many as they could from our yard and our two kind neighbor's yards. But they still weren't satisfied. They wanted more. So entrepreneur Benson got a plan. Let's enlist the help of the whole neighborhood! He wrote a sign that said, "Put dandelions"...with an arrow pointing down to the box below. We live just up the street from the neighborhood school and he figured everyone would see the sign and drop their "extra" dandelions in his collection. He is too funny. Sad to say he didn't get any dandelions from the groups walking home from school....but it was a fun afternoon project anyhow!
I love the innocence, imagination, and creativity of children!
(Claire's bile drain line is capped today. She was so excited because that meant today was the day she was allowed to climb her climbing tree in the backyard! Yeah for a little less baggage to carry around. So far so good. Blood work on Wednesday.)
