Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.

monday

While at Sams Club....the doctor left a message on our home phone that the final tests from the biopsy were still not complete. He should get them for sure tomorrow and will let us know then.

I seriously can't get enough of this little Mabel Sue!! She is sooooooooo fun! And such a good princess. When I tell her it's time to change her cloths and diaper, she runs just as quick as her little feet can take her to her room to find a diaper, and then assumes the position on the rug for the duty to be complete! She's still at that beautiful age where carrying out a simple task and the exaggerated praise attached, is one of the highlights of this little person's day! I've said it from day one...and I just can't stop saying it...I JUST LOVE THIS BABY!!
