Claire has had a couple good days. Maybe her body is adjusting to the medicine now after being on it a week. She hasn't complained about her tummy as much and is overall, more herself. We'll see how labs look a week from today.
Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.

wednesday
S0 much for not getting sick!! But at least it's not Claire (yet). Jared and I woke up with yucky colds again yesterday morning. I wasn't even over my last one yet...not fair!!! So our "taking it easy" week has worked out quite well with all our needs. The weather has been fantastic, though! I can't quite decide if the warmth is here to stay or if it a fake-out. Either way, it's great to be (and let the kids play) OUTSIDE again!!
