I felt like I lived at the hospital today. Claire did her normal dialysis session from 8-12 but we didn't get home till 1 because we had to wait for pharmacy to send up her meds. The levels they tested to know if she needed to get antibiotics today weren't back before we left; so we left, knowing that depending on those levels, we may need to come back for her to get the antibiotics. Of course she needed them...but we didn't find that out till 4:00. Good thing we didn't wait at the hospital for those tests to come back!! I brought her home and let her play for 20 minutes with Benson before I put her down for a nap. As soon as she woke up, we all ran to Home Depot to get some stuff Jared needed for his basement project. Then Benson, Claire, and I went right back to the hospital for another hour and a half for Claire to get her dose of antibiotics. We got home a little after 7 and the kids DEFINITELY didn't think it was bed time. We let them get some of their energy out again before we attempted to settled down for bed.
Wake up tomorrow---rewind the tape and push play. But hopefully with a little more efficient use of our time tomorrow. Let's just get her whipped all at once!
Benson really likes coming to the hospital with us. We tried to get him to stay home with Dad tonight and help him with the basement project. But there was no way that was going to happen. He said he wanted to help dad with the basement after he went to the hospital with Claire and Mommy.
Today he brought home an enrollment form to reserve a spot for next year's preschool. I said, "Hey look Benson, this paper tells all about preschool for next year! That means we could get you a spot saved just for you for next years preschool." His reply: "I don't want to go to preschool next year. I just want to go to the hospital next year."
Hopefully NONE of us will be going to the hospital next year. At least not at the frequency we're reaching now!
Just chillin' in the crib for the second time today. They're already having issues about picking a movie they BOTH want to watch. Luckily there's two forms of entertainment near by to solve that fight.
