Wow. I can't believe tomorrow is December. Unreal!
Claire had a rough day today because of her cold. Her nose is running like a water faucet and she has yet to learn to how to BLOW! So she constantly has snot all over the back of her hands and across the cheek of her face. I'm sure a scene none of you have ever seen! I am very grateful, though, that that's ALL it is! We can handle a small head cold.
Benson and Claire received a surprise Huge-Mongo-Package today from Boy Scout Pack 567.

I could hardly lift it through the door. We waited till Claire woke up from her nap and Daddy was done with work before we opened it. It was like an early Christmas for the kids! Jared and I were shocked at all the fun things they sent to brighten the kids long days at the hospital. One of the best parts about the package, though, was very light. It was a stack of 30 scout-made Christmas cards for us to give to other children at the hospital to brighten their holiday as well. I am so thankful for that!! What a sweet opportunity it will be to give those cards out to other kids who might be wishing they were somewhere different for the holidays too.
Thanks Pack 567. What a giving, loving, strong group of boys you are to give of yourself to bless our family. Your selfless gifts of fun, sweet cards, and camo-tied-matching blankets will be cherished by two happy kids for a long time!!

That's so nice. When my daughter was born, she was the first girl born on Girl Scout Day (who knew there was such a day) in that hospital. A local troop brought her a quilt. She still cherishes it years later. Glad that Claire just has a head cold (I so hear ya on the snot everywhere!)
