Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.

Idaho fun!

Not sure if the kids are checking out the horses or the horses are checking out the kids. Either way, it's a cute picture!

Rigby lake. water + sand = fun. Lots and lots of dirty fun!

Working hard on a sand castle.

These two cousins could sit in those swings for hours. Actually, I'm pretty sure they did sit in those swings for hours one morning as we sang e-i-e-i-o, wheels on the bus, and twinkle twinkle over and over again.

And the number one question asked by Claire and Benson is: "Can you take us for a 4-wheeler ride." Luckily for them, the answer is usually yes!
