Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.

more fun

Last fun pictures of Idaho.

Grandpa and Grandma Roberts told the kids stories of when he served in World War II. They loved hearing the stories and seeing his army pictures. Grandma told them about how they met and married over in Germany. Great stories to remember, record, and pass on.

The words behind the picture..."Mabel, stay on your seat. Where's the dog?" Unspoken words..."Claire look at the dog out of the corner of your eye!" And Benson's the star cheeser!!

Here's the kids all lined up with their prized gold chains!

Mabel wasn't too interested in picture time with Uncle Ben. Ben just returned from a two year church service mission in Winnipeg Canada! Everyone is so happy to have him back home!!

And now we've arrived to the last leg of our vacation...Utah!
