Mabel's hand is looking soooo much better! This was taken 2 days ago...and even since then, it's improved A TON!! All the new skin has almost healed over (the light pink area) but it will still take about a YEAR for the skin to stabilize and get to the same color as the rest of her hand. But things are looking great and she's starting to use it a lot more.

Claire is doing great! Benson asked her tonight if she liked having the drain tube/bag connected to her body and she said, "not much." She said she mostly doesn't like it when she sleeps because it gets in her way. But in spite of that reply, she is tolerating it well and adjusting as needed. We have an apt. to see the liver doctor and her transplant surgeon a week from today and should have more information about a long-term solution at that time.

She's still been getting her IV antibiotics at the hospital every day at 1 and that's going well. Mabel had her last apt with her "burn" nurse today at 1:00 till we see them again a week from today.

And within that week, Benson, Mabel and I will be to Utah and back!! My brother is getting married on Saturday!! Even though we were all planning and hoping to be back there together for it, I suppose 3 of us is better than none! So we're off on the airplane tomorrow and will be back on Wednesday.

I'm already tired thinking about next Thursday's day at the hospital....Benson, Claire, and Mabel will all have apts that day! Better relax a bit while we're gone!
