Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.

Well, nothing much to report on. Still pregnant. With a headache, this time. Hopefully that goes away soon. Claire and Benson have a bit of a cold that I'm hoping they get rid of quickly. Jared and I aren't sick (yet) and hopefully it stays that way. I'm off to see the doctor again tomorrow for more baby updates. Claire's labs from Monday look great. The weather has been beautiful this week. Can't believe it's November and we're enjoying 60 degree sun!! And it's my biggest bro's birthday today! Happy Birthday Brice!
