Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.

Congratulations Natalie!!! She is such a doll and I can't believe how much she and Claire look alike! I'm so glad that Claire's kidney function is looking good! You have an adorable family and I'm excited for you to have baby number 3. She's a cutie! You're such a strong mom and I hope to always be as positive as you!
Mable is looking A TON like Jared to me. :) I think Claire has more of a Natalie look. Both are darling!
I had to look close to see who that was in that little outfit that I knew Claire had worn.
It must be great for the kids to have a little sister. It will be great for Mabel to have all those cute outfits to wear..
