Good thing there's a doctor (or two) in the house.
Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.

Blood work
Claire did blood work today. So did Annie. Some how Mabel got away with nothing more than a "listen" with a stethoscope from the doctors. Annie ended up with a biopsy, new kidney and liver, new eye lashes, the flu shot, and blood work. Lucky Mabel. Good thing Annie had special medicine to help her sleep through the procedures. Everything checked out A-Okay for all three girls.

Good to see the kids enjoying the medical profession for it has certainly given them many things to be grateful for. It's fun to see baby Mabel included in all the action, too!
It's hard to distinguish her from the dolls. We love all of them, kids and dolls, too!
I am sooo happy for you! I can't believe how much Claire looks like Mabel. Sister are so much fun! Congrats to your family.
** I was convinced I was having a boy. I was surprised as well. Girls are great!
