And just on a random note, I was totally convinced Mabel was a boy. I was only SLIGHTLY miserable while pregnant with Benson; NOT miserable in the slightest while pregnant with Claire; and what at times seemed BEYOND miserable while pregnant with Mabel...so it had to be a boy, right?!?! I thought so. Ironically, the only time during my pregnancy that I thought it could be a girl was the first time I saw Mabel at my 10 week ultrasound. It was a simple, quick ultrasound at my first appointment with the doctor that they do just to determine exactly how far along I am and set an official due date. It was nothing more than the profile picture I saw of her...but the thought/feeling I had at that time was "look at that cute little girl!" And I couldn't be happier that my first instinct was right--even though I didn't believe it myself until she was placed on my chest. For hours (and probably even a day or two) after she was born, I was still saying to Jared, "I can't believe it's a girl!!" Not that I was disappointed...just that I was thoroughly surprised and thrilled to have another princess!!! She is absolutely perfect for our family. She is exactly what Heavenly Father wanted us to have. She'll go down in our books as the best surprise of 2010!
Claire had blood work yesterday and things are still looking great!
