What a day. I'm exhausted! A good exhausted, though. Today was catch-up-around-the-house Day. It sure does feel good to have it clean, more than half the laundry done, and dinner ready for tomorrow. I'm ready for bed!
Claire is doing great. She had a fun day today on dialysis and a long nap (hence the reason c-u-a-t-h Day was able to happen). Benson was quite the helper too. They actually both really enjoy cleaning their toys and play kitchen with a clorax wipe. And get this: one of Benson's three Christmas wishes includes a vacuum! A real one that actually works so he can help vacuum the house! I'm totally taking advantage of the opportunity this Christmas!
And that's the news for the day.
Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate--called primary hyperoxaluria. Claire's condition has progressed much faster than Benson's. She was on dialysis since she was 3 months old and for much of that time, did dialysis 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. She receive a much needed kidney / liver transplant on December 18, 2009. It is expected Benson will eventually need similar transplants.

Summer use to be scared of the vacuum until we bought her a mini dirt devil that picks up dust. Too bad it doesn't really get the job done.
My daughter wanted that for Christmas one year, and so we got her one of those stick vacs, and she loved it. She made it her job to vacuum under the table every night after dinner, and her room got vacuumed a lot too.
